About Us

Colour Me Dragg brings together drag, burlesque and other queer and trans performers of colour of all experience levels in the Toronto area in one exciting show.
Colour Me Dragg was started by Toronto drag king Milo de Milo in 2007, and has since brought together a production team consisting of Chase, Dainty Box, Tricia, and Sammy Samosa.

Supporting OUR Communities!

Colour me Dragg has donated partial proceeds from shows to the following poc-focused community projects and organizations so far:

Asian Arts Freedom School

An art-based radical Asian history and activism program for Asian/Pacific Islander youth in the Greater Toronto Area. Asian = South Asian, West Asian (a.k.a. Arab or Middle-Eastern), Southeast Asian, East Asian, and Central Asian. We cover various artforms including writing, spoken word, music, visual arts, film, breakdancing, theatre and modern dance.
-Funds from the December 14th, 2008 CMD at Buddies were used towards GenderFOC (writing workshops for genderqueer and trans people of colour)
-Also, towards the AAFS Anthology (a collection of work by Asian Arts Freedom School members and alumni)

Mujeres Al Frente

Grupo de Apoyo para Mujeres Lesbianas, Bisexuales, Intersex, Queer y Personas Trans de Latinoamérica / Support Group for Lesbian, Bisexual, Intersex, Queer Women and Trans People of Latin-America

Transgender Education and Advocacy (T.E.A.)

A non-profit, community based, educational and research organization founded and operating under the auspice of Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Kenya (GALCK). T.E.A. campaigns to extirpate the silence, ignorance, urban myths and legends, discrimination, denigration transgender individuals have to contend with in Kenya. It aims to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all transgender people in Kenya through research, educational forums, pressing for access to appropriate medical interventions, legislations and social change.

Queers Against Israeli Apartheid

"Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, or QuAIA, formed to work in solidarity with queers in Palestine and Palestinian resistance movements around the world. Today, in response to increasing criticism of its occupation of Palestine, Israel is cultivating an image of itself as an oasis of gay tolerance in the Middle East. As queers, we recognize that homophobia exists in Israel, Palestine, and across all borders. But queer Palestinians face the additional challenge of living under occupation, subject to Israeli state violence and control. Israel’s apartheid system extends gay rights only to some, based on race.

There is no pride in apartheid, and QuAIA is dedicated to fighting it wherever it exists. We work in solidarity with anti-colonial struggles and with queers leading their own struggles of resistance."
